Cat & Dog X-Rays in Livonia, MI
At Levan Road Veterinary Hospital, our diagnostic imaging (digital cat & dog x-ray, ultrasound) capabilities are vital for both diagnosing and treating pets properly. We are well-equipped for the early detection of various health problems, which significantly increases the quality of care we provide. Detecting diseases or congenital issues early means we can find more effective solutions and give your pet the chance to have a healthier life overall.
Digital X-Ray
Digital X-ray is an excellent and efficient tool for viewing your pet’s bone structure and checking for conditions such as:
- Arthritis
- Hip/elbow dysplasia
- Bone fractures
- Deformities
- Foreign bodies
- Tumors
- Heart and lung disease
- ...and more
Unlike traditional film X-ray, digital X-ray is quicker to perform and therefore less stressful for our patients. There is less need for repositioning to get a clearer image, and sedation is only necessary in rare cases. Also, all of your pet’s X-rays will be saved on a computer and can be sent to outside specialists if needed.
Dental X-Ray
Additionally, we provide dental X-rays to evaluate pets for subgingival (under the gum line) problems such as:
- Dental disease
- Bone loss
- Tooth decay
- Chipped or broken teeth
- Abscesses
- Resorptive lesions
- ...and more
A dental exam is never complete without dental X-rays. Most oral pathologies are hidden well below the gum line, and without addressing these issues, your pet’s cleaning procedure will not be complete.
